Transferring Account Ownership
If you need to transfer ownership of your theDouble account to your founder or another team member, follow these steps:
Prerequisites
- You must be the current account owner
- The new owner must already be a member of your team
- The new owner should have an active theDouble account
Steps to Transfer Ownership
- Make the Team Member an Admin First
- Log in to your theDouble account
- Go to your account settings
- Select "Team" or "Team Management"
- Find the team member (your founder) you want to transfer ownership to
- Change their role from "Member" to "Admin"
- Save the changes
- Transfer Ownership
- Once they have Admin role, locate their profile in the team list
- Click on the team member's profile or settings
- Look for "Transfer Ownership" or "Make Owner" option
- Confirm the transfer
- Verify Transfer
- You may need to confirm via email
- The new owner will receive a notification
- Once confirmed, ownership will be transferred
Important Notes
- Irreversible Action: Once ownership is transferred, you cannot automatically reverse it. The new owner would need to transfer it back to you.
- Billing Access: The new owner will have full access to billing and payment information.
- Team Management: The new owner will have complete control over team members, roles, and permissions.
- Your Role: After transfer, you'll typically remain on the team but with a different role (usually Admin or Member).
