Overview

AI Doubles work differently for individuals and organizations. For teams, knowledge is shared across layers - company, team, and individual - so every AI Double stays informed and consistent while still allowing personal customization.

Switching to organization

Log in to Double and go to the Home page
Click the dropdown in the top right corner
Select the organization
Now in organization mode

From here, click anything in the sidebar - Knowledge Base, Personality, Behaviour - everything now works at organization level. Switch back to Individual anytime from the same dropdown.

Individual vs Organization

Both use the same interface, but work differently:

Individual mode

Everything edited affects only the individual's own AI Double
Knowledge Base, Personality, Behaviour - all personal

Organization mode

Admin edits affect everyone's AI Doubles in the organization
Team member edits affect only their own AI Double
Same sidebar, different impact based on who is editing

How knowledge works - The 3 Layers

Knowledge in teams works like a hierarchy - top to bottom. Lower layers receive knowledge from above, but cannot edit or change what's above them.

1. Company Brain (Top)

Centralized knowledge for the whole organization
Set up by the admin
Automatically flows to every AI Double in the company

2. Team Knowledge (Middle)

Knowledge specific to a department or team
Set up by team admins
Only flows to members of that team

3. Individual Knowledge (Bottom)

Personal knowledge each member adds
Only affects their own AI Double
Works on top of Company Brain and Team Knowledge

Example: A marketing team member's AI Double knows everything from the Company Brain + Marketing team knowledge + their own personal knowledge. But a sales team member only gets Company Brain + Sales team knowledge.

What to expect on Home

When switched to organization mode, the Home page shows:

Personal Space - Individual's own card
Team Folders - Teams within the organization, showing team members and seats

Who can do what

Admins - Set up and edit Company Brain. Changes flow to all AI Doubles
Team Admins - Set up and edit Team Knowledge. Changes flow to team members only
Team Members - Add personal knowledge only. Cannot edit Company Brain or Team Knowledge
