Lead Gating prompts visitors to identify themselves before continuing a conversation with the AI Double. It captures contact information automatically and personalizes future conversations.

Why use Lead Gating

  • Lead generation on autopilot - Visitors must share their details to continue chatting
  • Personalization - The AI Double remembers returning visitors and tailors responses based on past conversations
  • Spam reduction - OAuth verification ensures captured emails are real

How gating works

  • For chat: the gate appears after the visitor sends a set number of messages
  • For voice: the gate appears after a set number of seconds into the conversation
  • If the visitor is already a logged-in theDouble user in the same browser, the gate is skipped automatically
  • Once a visitor identifies themselves from a browser, the gate does not appear again from that browser

Capture methods

  • Continue with Google or LinkedIn - Verified OAuth. Recommended for accuracy.
  • Custom form - Visitors enter details manually. Faster, but information is unverified.
